Hello, my name is Amanda Vigor. I have an MA in Illustration from the RCA and I make paintings and illustrations using watercolour, pencil, oil pastels, lino cuts and occasionally gouache. I use PhotoShop to arrange certain compositions and lately I've been using an iPad and Apple Pencil.

 

My paintings will normally have a narrative — I attach stories to everything. Storytelling and nature inspire me and fuel my imagination every day.

Simple lines, soft brush strokes and imperfections resonate with me.. A gently considered line on paper can be tender but have strength and meaning that can portray a million things.

Anything is possible in painting and this is what I love most about art.
